Weighted Grade
A grading method where different assignments or categories contribute different percentages to the final grade. Accounts for the relative importance of each assessment.
Unlike a simple average, a weighted grade multiplies each score by the percentage its category contributes to the final mark. It reflects how a syllabus really works — a 40%-weighted final exam moves your grade far more than a 5%-weighted homework set.
