Quinn Sumner
Editor · CalculoverAbout this byline
Quinn Sumner is the editorial pen name under which Calculover's calculators are written, verified, and maintained. Publishing under a consistent pen name keeps authorship accountable while the people behind it stay private — a long-standing and legitimate practice. It is a pen name, not a claim of professional licensure: no medical, legal, financial, or engineering credential is implied or claimed.
Every calculator is built and checked by hand. Formulas are verified line by line against primary sources — the IRS, CFPB, CDC, NIST, building codes, and peer-reviewed research — and each tool lists the exact sources it relies on, along with the date it was last reviewed. Where a calculation touches money, health, or the law, the page says plainly that it is an educational estimate and points you to the licensed professional you should consult.
The editorial standard
No fabricated credentials. We never attach a professional title (CFP®, CPA, MD, RD, Esq.) to a byline unless a real, named professional holds it.
Sources over claims. Numbers are backed by cited primary sources, not by appeals to authority.
Source review by Calculover Editorial Review, our internal source- and methodology-checking process.
Plain about limits. Every YMYL tool states what it does not model and when to talk to a licensed advisor.
